In response to clients emailing me about my thoughts this season, here goes :

It’s no secret that I love romance, and the quintessential love story. I’m a wedding photographer. My heart leaps at a good love story. My weekends are full of people embracing their love with one another and including me in on their day to tell their story with my photo art. Weddings are phenomenal…when the love is real and natural. When there is nothing contrived. There is not much I would rather be doing than capturing this type of love. (Although, playing with my daughter, kissing my son and canoodling my amazing hubby are right up there too!). And so it comes as no shocker, that once a year I tune in religiously to my guilty pleasure-The Bachelorette on ABC. Most people find this show ridiculous. And I can see why, as 25 hopeful “candidates” are fighting over one girl, for one reason or another. Whether it’s their quest for love or fame, I still can’t look away. But when you see love happening right before your eyes, now that’s enchanting. And this season, whether it’s love or intense chemistry between Ali and Roberto, it was undeniable. I was not shocked at all that she picked the latin lover in the end. Runner-up Chris sure had the goods and will certainly be good husband material to someone, but her and Roberto had that fire. And so then.. I remember once upon a time, I heard this quote…“But life is long. And it is the long run that balances the short flare of interest and passion” -Sylvia Plath. And with that, I hope their love is real and does last. But maybe that’s the hopeless romantic in me.

And here’s to Wes being the next Bachelor, now THAT would be entertainment!

Three weeks ago my life was made more complete, as our family has grown by one, welcoming my new son. He has completely stolen my heart with his flirty little smiles, and his great big eyes. The little dude could not get any sweeter. I feel completely blessed to have the American Dream, one girl and one boy. Big sis is so captured by him, helping out every chance she gets. I knew the little mommy in her would definitely make an appearance, but I had no idea just how much help she would be. If he even makes a whimper, she bolts toward him screaming “Don’t worry..big sister is coming.” I am so in love.

Jnnifer and Coridan are such a sweet couple. My assistants and I kept commenting on how nice everyone was, from the bride and groom, tho the bridal party to the family, everyone was so great to work with. Their ceremony and reception was at the lovely Jester Park , here are some of my favorites from the day:

Triplets are so much fun! Mom and Dad brought along their nanny as well as big brother Rowan for some photos. we had a blast playing at the studio. I love all the expressions the kids give, they just melt my heart. Oh how I love watching them grow.

Lael and Mike just welcomed their first daughter into the world, and brought her and the rest of the fam in for some pictures. I really love this family. They really appreciate art, and allowed me to do some fun things with baby. All of the children are always so well behaved it is always such a delight to see them. Can’t wait to see you all again!

When Jess first contacted me to set up a session to photograph her family, she mentioned to me that their dog would be the best behaved. I knew right from there, this session was going to be full of enenrgy and a fun one! And it didn’t disappoint/ The kids were cracking us up. From a variety of expressions, to the kids fighting with each other, I got to see it all, and loved it. Here are some fun shots we captured this day. Thank you!
